Function meets regulation.

Both osteopathy and clinical psycho-neuro-immunology (cPNI) understand the human being as an indivisible whole. Rather than treating isolated symptoms, they look for the deeper connections and root causes. Both approaches recognise that body, mind and lifestyle are inseparably linked – and use exactly this understanding to bring about lasting improvement.

Osteopathy: the body as a self-regulating system

Imagine your body as a highly complex network in which everything is connected. A tight muscle in the hip can trigger headaches. When the flow is blocked somewhere in the network – whether it’s blood, lymph or nerve signals – the whole system suffers sooner or later.

Osteopathy is built on the principle that your body naturally strives towards health. My role is to find and remove the obstacles that block this self-regulation. I work almost exclusively with my hands and with gentle impulses. Bones are not “clicked into place”, discs are not “pushed back”. I give the body a nudge – and it responds with its own healing mechanisms.

Clinical psycho-neuro-immunology (cPNI): the science of interconnection

cPNI explores how the mind, nervous system, immune system, hormonal system and metabolism are in constant communication with one another. Three simple images help to illustrate the core idea:

You are always part of a bigger picture (text-context). You are not just a body – you live in an environment. Family, work, social relationships, where you live: all of this influences your health every day. When your life and your surroundings are in harmony, the system stays stable. When they are not, this tends to show up in the body sooner or later.

Your symptom is a photograph – your history is the film (snapshot-story). What you feel today is a snapshot in time. But to understand how you got here, we need to watch the whole film together. Only the full story explains the snapshot – and shows us where we really need to begin.

Your body runs on a limited energy budget (energy distribution). Think of your body as having a fixed daily energy budget that it distributes across different tasks: immune defence, digestion, healing, stress management. Chronic stress or persistent inflammation draws disproportionately from this budget. cPNI helps to rebalance that budget.

The interplay: function and regulation

Osteopathy and cPNI complement each other perfectly: osteopathy works on function – it releases functional blockages, improves circulation and mobility, and gives the body the impulses it needs to make better use of its own healing capacities.

cPNI works on regulation – it optimises biochemical and hormonal processes and creates the foundation for lasting health through lifestyle adjustments. Together they form a comprehensive therapeutic approach.

What does this mean for you?

In my practice, this holistic approach means: I don’t just look at your current symptom – I look at you as a whole person. Together we explore connections, consider your history and your circumstances, search for the underlying causes, and develop an individual treatment plan that we work on together.

In doing so, I combine the manual expertise of osteopathy with the scientifically grounded knowledge of cPNI – for a treatment that works sustainably and actively involves you in your own health.

How does an appointment work?

The first appointment (1 hour). Our first session is intentionally unhurried – time for you, for your story, for what matters to us together. We begin with an in-depth conversation: I want to understand how you are, how your symptoms have developed, and which areas of your life are playing a role. I then carry out an osteopathic examination and treatment. At the end, we discuss together which specific cPNI measures – around nutrition, sleep or stress management, for example – might be helpful for you. You leave with clear, personalised recommendations that you can actively integrate into your daily life.

Follow-up appointments. Follow-up sessions focus primarily on osteopathic treatment, complemented by a review and adjustment of the cPNI interventions. Together we look at what has changed, which measures are working, and where further adjustments might be needed.
